Madan Sheina is the lead analyst for Ovum’s Information Management Software group’s research and analysis practice, and is based in Northern California.
Madan has over sixteen years’ experience working in the IT sector as a seasoned industry analyst. His research covers a range of information management technologies, with a sharp focus on business intelligence, analytics, data integration and knowledge management software. He has advised leading ISVs on market positioning, product development and partnering strategies, IT users on product evaluation and selection, European government agencies on public IT initiatives and the financial investment community on technology and market trends. Madan is well respected in the IT industry on both the supply and demand sides for his clear, incisive and no-nonsense analysis and presentation style.
Prior to joining Ovum, Madan headed up enterprise applications software research and news coverage for ComputerWire (a division of Datamonitor) in San Francisco. Before that, he was senior analyst for decision support tools and analytic applications at Aberdeen Group in Palo Alto, California.
Madan holds an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics.
