Sue Clarke is the lead analyst for enterprise content management (ECM), working within the Information Management stream. She covers all areas of ECM, including the major ECM platforms from major vendors to small start-ups, and all aspects of functionality, including document and records management, business process management and workflow, web content management, document collaboration, search within content management systems, digital rights management, and transactional content management.

For more than 12 years, first at Butler Group, and then Ovum, Sue has built up considerable expertise in the fields of content management and storage. She was the lead author of several major reports, including a number of reports on email management, document and records management, and enterprise content management, in addition to co-authoring reports covering topics such as server and storage consolidation, business process management, identity and access management, solutions for compliance, enterprise search, and document collaboration. She has also undertaken consultancy work in both storage-related and content management-related areas. She has written Butler Group Technology Audits, covering a wide range of topics, and was a regular contributor to various monthly journals and weekly opinion pieces.

Prior to joining Ovum, Sue was a software developer working for a number of companies, where she gained extensive IT knowledge. These included a manufacturing group, where she was responsible for designing, writing, implementing, and providing support for sales order processing, job costing, and daily reporting systems. She also worked for a leading construction company and a company specialising in heating, lighting, and ventilation systems.
Sue holds a BA (Honors) in Historical Studies.
